Lang Vrou Productions is an established production label. All shows and projects that follows out of TEO Theatre Development as well as the career of Petronel Baard are hosted in Lang Vrou Productions.
We work with different venues where we host regular shows thus helping the space to investigate and develop as a theatre cafe.
An example is Salty River Beer House. We produce beautiful sunset concerts monthly with an incredible view of the open fields and mountains. Another example is Fynbos Paradys Blommemark in Greatbrakriver where we host regular Oer Moer Gatherings.
Lang Vrou Productions work with venue owners to setup stage and entertainment equipment and then develop relevant entertainment packages to ensure sustainability. This trend started when Petronel had tor travel and tour through South Africa. She still actively seek out new potential venues that can host shows all over the country.
We work with artists, studios, producers and marketing teams. Our
latest is "Seek the Light" with Crystal Blaq Ent. from Mossel Bay and "Wie sien die Maan" with Soetmelk. This is on a compilation album from Tunes Studio in Stellenbosch. Also a wonderful new journey through the Psalms with Dr. Ronelle Bezuidenhout, AlPsalmend.
We conceptualise and develop productions for artists and groups.
Apart from travelling on her own, Petronel have running productions like "Verdubbel die Geluk" with Stef Kruger or "Triptruuk" with Soetmelk. Other examples include various online shows for Cordis Trust like "Sonstorie" as well as the Petronel & Friends Series.
Lang Vrou Productions often act as a booking agency where we help organise events and festivals or act as go-between for the bookings for artists and venues.
We have established a cross functional team to develop strategic solutions for artists. This include the testing of digital initiatives and scenario building for unknown futures. We are developing TEO Theatre to host artists with online shows. Petronel takes part in national discourse and forums on the arts and serve as a director of the Garden Route Film Commission and is member of the WCCC.
